Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Mosaic is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Mosaic’s members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as setting up and taking down chairs to going on foreign mission trips.
Here are just some of the possible service opportunities in the immediate community and further abroad. Contact us if you are ready to get involved
The Mosaic Community is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom. As part of the SBCV, church donations help missionaries around the world. Operation Christmas Child gives the entire church a chance to reach children worldwide with the gospel.
Closer to our own back yard, Mosaic regularly helps Another Chance Church meet physical and spiritual needs for the homeless in the Winchester Area.
Worship & Music
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Mosaic Bible Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
The usher team at Mosaic Bible Church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.
Media & Technology
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Mosaic. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.
Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. Mature Mosaic Church members serve other families as marriage counselors. Their role in listening, understanding, helping, and encouraging struggling couples has, by God’s grace, saved marriages, and repaired relationships. Couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse.
Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Mosaic is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers to our Prayer Warriors team, pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.
In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Mosaic holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.
Setup & Tear Down
Because we are a mobile church (at least for now), there is an ever present need to for volunteers to assist in setting up for services on Sunday morning and tearing down after services are completed. Many hands make light work.
We love to make our members and visitors feel welcome and relaxed as we fellowship and worship together on Sunday morning. Our team of volunteers provides water, tea, hot cocoa, and fresh, locally roasted coffee. Want to help out? Get in touch!
